Well I went to my first High School Graduation ceremony last night which was enlightening in many ways. The key note speaker was the one for me though as he gave the graduating students a number of thoughts to take with them on their journey through their working and adult lives. Namely that one never stops learning throughout life and how true that statement really is.
However, what has that got to do with art and photography, well I saw this quote by another unnamed author and it set me thinking about what was said at the ceremony last night.
"I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it." ~Author Unknown
and really how true is that quotation?.................perhaps a class or two in photography and photographic appreciation would'nt come a miss afterall and perhaps it would send us on our way to continued learning when we see the world through our photographs rather than just looking at the picture before us.
